This planet was the birthplace of Anakin Skywalker and the childhood home of Luke Skywalker. Tatooine orbits a binary star system, which explains the harshness of the desert. Many of the inhabitants of the planet work as farmers, harvesting the mostiure from the ground, but most work as junk sellers and slaves for the ruthless Hutt gangsters. In addition, Tatooine has become a go to stop for smugglers and mercenaries.
