Something Missing?

The Cure are an English rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex. The band has had many lineup changes over the years, with lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Robert Smith as the only constant member.

The Cure initially was part of the post-punk and new wave movements that sprung up in the United Kingdom. The band then adopted an increasingly dark and tormented style, which combined with Smith's stage look to strongly influence the emerging genre of gothic rock. As the 1980s went on, the band introduced more pop sensibilities its music and became commercially popular, with hit songs such as "Let's Go to Bed" (1982), "The Love Cats" (1983), "Inbetween Days" (1985), "Close to Me" (1985), "Just Like Heaven" (1987), "Lovesong" (1989) and "Friday I'm in Love" (1992).
