Wallace Alfred Wyss was born in Detroit, in the Henry Ford hospital. His father, a Swiss immigrant, was a worker on the Ford assembly line somewhat earlier. Wyss grew up in the "musclecar" era, only blocks from Woodward Ave. and could hear drag racers peeling out on Woodward from his house.
Wallace Wyss is a fine artist, automotive historian, car design commentator, radio broadcaster on Autotalk, and advertising copywriter. He’s the author of ten automotive histories and his latest book, Way Beyond Barn Finds, The Story Behind Smokey Yunick’s Boss Mustang includes 49 other entertaining true tales from the world of rare and exotic car collecting. He’s an ace barn-finder himself, tracking down rare Rolls Royces, Bentley’s, Porsches, and more. This book is number three in his barn find series and includes incredible stories of adventure and reminds us those dream barn finds are still out there to be discovered. Wallace will be at the Concorso Italiano in Monterey this year as a vendor selling art and books.
