He is commonly depicted as an extremely aggressive gunslinging prospector, outlaw, pirate, or cowboy with a hair-trigger temper and an intense hatred of rabbits, especially Bugs Bunny.
He was voiced by Mel Blanc from 1945 to 1986, then by Joe Alaskey, Jeff Bergman, Charlie Adler, Greg Burson, Maurice LaMarche, Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, Jeff Bennett, and Fred Tatasciore.
