In the 1980s, Tomica sold some models in a bare metal (Zamac) finish without paint. Some models were even unspun. These were sold through a variety of department stores in Japan, though there seems to have been no clear pattern in the release or distribution of these models.
These models are also not listed as variations in the Tomica Pictorial Reference Book.
