R2-D2 is an astromech droid, whose decades of service have seen him involved in many pivotal moments in Galactic history. He possesses a small arsenal of tools in his small frame, including a fire extinguisher and jets on his two side legs. R2-D2 served Queen Padme Amidala, who gave him to Anakin Skywalker after he became a Jedi knight. Alongside Anakin, R2 found himself in the middle of most pivotal moments in the Clone Wars, and when the wars finally ended, he served with C-3PO on Bail Organa's ship, Tantive IV. From there he was entrusted by Leia Organa with the Death Star plans, and fled with Threepio to Tatooine in search of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
