Ymir (pronounced ee-mir) is a main character featured in the manga series, Attack on Titan, and its animated adaptation. She was a graduate of the 104th Training Corps and a former member of the Survey Corps. Initially born a beggar, she was given the name "Ymir" and posed as a descendant of Ymir Fritz. Once the truth of her identity was discovered, the girl was injected with serum and wandered the world as a Pure Titan for sixty years, until she devoured Marcel Galliard and obtained the power of the Jaw Titan -- regaining her consciousness and human form in the process. She eventually made her way through the walls of Sheena and posed as a skilled thief. Upon hearing speculation of a girl under the alias "Christa Lenz," Ymir enlisted in the military and began to grow a close bond with the girl, until Ymir's true form was revealed. Eventually, Ymir disbanded from Christa and her allies, choosing to flee with Reiner and Bertolt -- dying within the next few weeks, leaving only a letter to Christa.
In the anime, Ymir appeared in all four seasons of the show, only as a main character in season 2. She appeared as a minor character in the first season, and in the form of flashbacks in seasons 3 and 4.
