In 2006, Hot Wheels continued the AcceleRacers series through repaints and recolors. Though the 2006 series was originally planned to cross-sell new AcceleRacers designs, the plan never came to fruition. Most of these products winded up at discount stores such as Walgreens. Official advertising material and patents for the series revealed that Titanium and Rogue Hog could have been original candidates for a 1/64 release , amid other potential releases such as an Acceleron Series themed Reverb and an Accelecharged Drift Tech.
