NSU-Fiat was a German automobile brand used by a manufacturer which produced Italian Fiat vehicles under license at a plant acquired from NSU in Heilbronn from 1929 to 1966. During this time the name was also used for Fiat cars imported from Italy and distributed in Germany.
In 1960, following a complicated litigation process over the right to use the by now increasingly high profile "NSU" name on passenger cars, after NSU had introduced its own line of passenger cars in 1958, the name of the company was officially changed to Neckar, although NSU-Fiat badges continued to be applied to the cars until 1966.

Neckar badges appeared on the cars only from 1966 to 1968; thereafter the brand name used was simply Fiat. The company continued to produce Fiats in Germany until 1971, after which date it turned into a mere import organization.
