Founded by the brothers André and Jean Chéreau, who came from a family of coachbuilders established in Rouen. Together, they created the Chéreau Frères body shop in Avranches. They built tailor-made advertising vehicles, vehicles for fairgrounds, as well as recreational vehicles and trailers for large circuses (Bouglione, Amar, Pinder).
