The Cheshire Cat is a fictional cat popularised by Lewis Carroll in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and known for its distinctive mischievous grin. While most often celebrated in Alice-related contexts, the Cheshire Cat predates the 1865 novel and has transcended the context of literature and become enmeshed in popular culture, appearing in various forms of media, from political cartoons to television, as well as cross-disciplinary studies, from business to science. One of its distinguishing features is that from time to time its body disappears, the last thing visible being its iconic grin.

Magic in the Details
Alice is a rare character among Disney dolls with only a handful of variations produced since the movie premiered in 1951. This iteration is highly sought after due to the quality of her outfit, the unique face sculpt (there was a previously produced Alice doll who shared a face with Barbie's sister Skipper) and the colorful packaging depicting a memorable scene from the movie.
Note that her shoes are prone to splitting due to age
There exists a rare variant where the Cheshire Cat accessory is painted to give the appearance that he is fading away.
Text from the back of the box:
Watch out for that last step!...Oops...Too late!
Alice falls down the rabbit hole and into a weird and wacky world. Up is down and top is bottom. Who can she ask for directions? Why, it's the Cheshire Cat, perched high in a tree, with that mysterious smile that Alice isn't quite so sure about. Let's hope that the Cheshire Cat gives alice the right directions, otherwise she might be stuck in Wonderland forever...
Wearing her signature blue dress over a white petticoat, Alice is the picture of innocence. Featuring a white jaquard apron with braid trim and lace at the hem, this Alice in Wonderland doll will be the pride of your collection.
Certificate of authenticity, reply card, and doll stand included.
