Diapet is a series of mostly 1/40 scale diecast toys produced by Yonezawa Toys of Japan. The "pet" in Diapet is the Japanese equivalent of "small" or "cute." Their quality and realism made them popular for Asian children and collectors alike, although they never made much of an impact in America.

The Diapet line originates from 1965 after Japanese toy manufacturer Yonezawa bought one of its rivals, Taiseiya Co., Ltd.. Taiseiya had been producing diecast cars in Japan under the "Micro Pet" brand (changed to "Cherryca Phenix" in 1962). Yonezawa, which had to this point only been producing tinplate toys in 1/24-1/18 scale, created Diapet as a replacement for both their and Taiseiya's efforts. Diapet rose to become a flagship brand for Yonezawa, which was already one of the largest post-war toy manufacturers in Japan.

Diapet toys continued being produced through the 1990 when Sega bought Yonezawa in July 1994, creating Sega-Yonezawa. Sega-Yonezawa was later renamed Sega Toys and continued to produce a line of model trucks and busesunder the Diapet name. Diapet was sold to Agatsuma in March 2000, and a line of cars transforming into robots called "Diarobo" was launched in 2015.
