Starbucks Discovery Series Disney – Hollywood Studios is a mug for WDW park that focuses on movies and immersive storytelling. The park is a captivating destination that showcases the allure of the entertainment industry. Since its opening on May 1, 1989, the park has undergone significant transformations. With its expansion and updates, it now encompasses an impressive 135 acres of immersive experiences, attractions, shops, and delectable dining options. With its attention to detail and dedication to storytelling, the park continues to captivate millions of visitors each year, making it a must-visit destination for movie enthusiasts and Disney fans alike.
While this new design showcases less elements compared to the previous release, there are still plenty to see:
– Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge transports fans into a galaxy far, far away, where they can live out their own Star Wars adventures. Explore the bustling streets of Black Spire Outpost, where you can haggle with merchants, savor galactic cuisine, and even build your own lightsaber or droid. Whether you’re joining the Resistance or pledging your allegiance to the First Order, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge offers an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.
– The Hollywood Tower Hotel, commonly known as the Tower of Terror, stands as an iconic attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This eerie and mysterious hotel invites brave souls to board an elevator that takes them on a thrilling journey through the Twilight Zone. The ominous architecture and immersive storytelling make it a must-visit for those seeking a spine-tingling adventure in the heart of the theme park.
– Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream is a charming eatery nestled named after the whimsical dinosaur Gertie. This delightful ice cream stand offers a variety of frozen treats to satisfy sweet cravings. Guests can enjoy a refreshing break while relishing delicious ice cream cones and specialty sundaes in the shadow of Gertie, adding a touch of nostalgia to their theme park experience. With its cheerful atmosphere and tasty offerings, Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream is a favorite spot for those seeking a cool and delightful treat in the midst of their Disney adventures.
– The Pixar Ball, also known as the Luxo Ball, is an iconic and playful symbol associated with Pixar Animation Studios. The ball often makes cameo appearances in various Pixar films, adding a fun and interconnected element to the studio’s animated universe.
– The Muppets Fountain at Hollywood Studios is a whimsical and joyful tribute to everyone’s favorite puppet characters. Situated in a vibrant courtyard, it serves as a delightful centerpiece for visitors of all ages. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and their Muppet friends come to life in this playful fountain, inviting guests to gather around and soak in the magic.

The inside color of the Discovery Series Disney Ornament – Hollywood Studios as well as its string is light green. The design matches the full-size mug, but features less details. For instance, Mickey, the guitar and the Beauty and the Beast are missing on the front and the back shows Mickey and Minnie driving the car, which I believe refers to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The latter is an innovative and captivating attraction that transports guests into the enchanting world of Mickey Mouse and his beloved companion, Minnie. This immersive experience immerses visitors in a vibrant and whimsical cartoon universe, complete with lively landscapes, infectious music, and an engaging storyline. Cutting-edge technology seamlessly combines 2D animation with 3D effects, creating a truly immersive and one-of-a-kind adventure. With unexpected surprises and thrilling twists, guests become active participants in Mickey and Minnie’s thrilling escapade, filled with laughter, excitement, and heartwarming moments.

Been There Disney – Hollywood Studios 2 and as you can see it’s quite different from the “regular” releases, even Disney ones. The box is not orange anymore but has a rather gold color and the top of the cover reminds us about the 50th Anniversary of the WDW. The most interesting part, in my opinion, is the side of the cover, which has the legend of all the elements on the mug, which makes it so much easier to review all the Disney symbols that designers used as inspiration.
