The Porsche 901 was the original name for the Porsche 911. It was changed after Peugeot complained they had car naming rights to all three-digit numbers with a zero in the middle. Officially, the 82 Porsche 901's built were for internal testing purposes, but several found their way to private owners and still exist today.
