A Graduate from Clark High School in San Antonio, Texas. Pilar Lastra was destined to pose in front of the camera. One of her first modeling gigs was baring it all for the cameras of Playboy magazine, she was Playmate of the Month for August 2004.

Lastra soon began a different type of modeling, Game Show modeling. She was one of the 26 briefcase models on the mega hit NBC Game Show Deal or No Deal. During it's premiere Week (aired December 19-23, 2005), Pilar stood beside Briefcase #26 and soon afterwards, Deal was picked up as a series regular (returning in February 2006). Pilar returned to the Deal or No Deal stage a week after it's week-long Season One Premiere Week where she stood beside Briefcase #8.

In April 2006, Pilar and the other 25 Briefcase Models were listed as a whole in People magazines annual 100 Most Beautiful People.

Pilar returned to the Deal or No Deal stage in week two of it's second season as she moved to Briefcase #14 as her new permanent residence, where she would remain until the show's end in May 2009. In season five, she will be replaced by Olga Safari.

Also during the fourth and final season of the show, Pilar subbed at Briefcase #2 for at least three episodes.

In addition to her work on Deal or No Deal, Pilar has recurrently appeared on NBC’s hit show Las Vegas, and ESPN’s NFL News & Notes, she also emceed the Miss Asia USA Pageant, starred in the cable hit comedy Malibu Spring Break. Lastra has been through extensive media training and appeared in several national print campaigns such as Ford’s Warriors in Pink, Jose Cuervo Black, Wolverine Boots, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuits Edition that involved heavy media appearance on television morning shows, radio shows, and newspaper outlets.

Pilar also worked for Sirius Satellite Radio hosting The Playmate Hour on Playboy Radio (with Miriam Gonzalez who was Playmate of the Month for March, 2001), and wrote one of the chapters of a serialized novel on the Sirius website (along with other Sirius talent) called, "Naked Came the Summer".
