The Flatiron Building, originally the Fuller Building, is a triangular steel-framed building in the eponymous Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City, United States of America. Completed in 1902, the building is 22 stories and 285 feet (86.9 meters) tall. Its name comes from its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron. As a distinctly shaped early skyscraper and a designated historic landmark, the Flatiron Building has become an internationally recognized symbol of New York City.
