La Jolla Cafe was the original San Diego Cafe. The location was part of the Peter Morton group of Cafes know as Hard Rock Cafe North America. It was located on the corner of Prospect and Girard. Originally opened December 1988 then renamed La Jolla Cafe when the downtown cafe location was opened Agust 1998. La Jolla Cafe closed Labor Day weekend first weekend of September 2008.
