Calrissian would betray his friend and former smuggling partner Han Solo, along with Princess Leia, Chewbacc and C-3PO, by turning them over to Darth Vader and the Dark Side in the film "The Empire Strikes Back." He would amend his misdeeds in "Return of the Jedi," helping to lead a rescue operation to Tattooine to free Captain Solo from Jabba the Hutt.
