He began with competitions as an amateur and then a professional cyclist, then becoming the coach of the Alcyon team , before taking part in motorcycle races. races for this brand during races before the First World War, in 1913 and 1914.

He began motor racing in 1921 (at the Grand Prix de l'UMF - or Union Motocycliste Française -), importing American cars to the Paris region for a time (notably Chrysler ), and he stopped competing in 1937 after eight participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he obtained five podiums before the war.

He also made six appearances at the 24 Hours of Spa , between 1928 and 1933.

He ranked 7th in the first European Drivers' Championship in 1931 , associated with the exiled Russian Boris Ivanowski .

His main victory took place in 1925, at the Tour de France automobile on a Chrysler-Six.
