He began motor racing in 1921 (at the Grand Prix de l'UMF - or Union Motocycliste Française -), importing American cars to the Paris region for a time (notably Chrysler ), and he stopped competing in 1937 after eight participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he obtained five podiums before the war.

He also made six appearances at the 24 Hours of Spa , between 1928 and 1933.

He ranked 7th in the first European Drivers' Championship in 1931 , associated with the exiled Russian Boris Ivanowski .

His main victory took place in 1925, at the Tour de France automobile on a Chrysler-Six.
