Austro-Daimler was an Austrian car and truck company based in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, from 1899 until 1935. It started out as a subsidiary of the German Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (DMG) but became independent already before WW I.
After merging with Puch of Graz, Styria in 1931 it was merged with Steyr of Steyr, Upper Austria in 1935, resulting in the Steyr-Daimler-Puch conglomerate. Use of the Austro-Daimler brand name was discontinued soon thereafter, although it was occasionally used later on for certain upmarket series of bicycles made in the Puch factory.
