Based on the "2012 Total Destruction Batmobile" (1/15 scale) designed by Mattel for the Batman: Power Attack 5 inch action figure line.
The world's very first Batmobile appeared in Detective Comics #27 and the drawings of the car showed a mix of styles, mainly based on the 1937 Ford Coupe and the 1937 Lincoln Zephyr Coupe.
The vehicle this Corgi model is based upon appeared for the first time in Detective Comics #30 and the bulk of the design was based on the Cord 812: a long sleek hood, powerful motor and short rear.
