Hanomag manufacturing began again in 1948 after WW II. In 1964, the company took over Rheinische Stahlwerke and became Rheinstahl Henschel AG (Hanomag), in 1976 Thyssen-Henschel, and 1990 ABB Henschel AG. In 1996, the company became ABB Daimler-Benz Transportation Adtranz. The company was subsequently acquired by Bombardier (Canada) around 2002. The Kassel facility still exists and is one of the world's largest manufacturers of locomotives.

Model made by Norev and available from Norev themselves in different liveries. This version was sold as part of the Atlas collection "Legendäre Nutzfahrzeuge Made in Germany"
The truck was originally known as just Hanomag, but after two famous marques Hanomag and Henschel joined forces in 1969, the name was changed to Hanomag-Henschel - the badge on the front of the cab clearly identifies the model as a Hanomag-Henschel.
The model name always was and always will be disputed: F 55 or F55 (with or without a space), but the name badges on front wings DO have a space between the F and the 55, so that name has been assigned here. You will find roughly as many uses of F55 as F 55, even on dedicated sites, so whatever name is used, it will always be regarded as 'wrong' in the eyes of some.
