Mardi Gras

Series released in The United States in 2022, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Hard Rock Cafe brand, founded in 1971.  Each pin is 3D textured, featuring an iconic local image in the foreground and a skyline scene in the background.  Pin is shaped like a different local image.  At bottom left is a raised Hard Rock 50th anniversary logo in gold.

The New Orleans pin features the New Orleans, Super Dome, a Mardi Gras mask, Bourbon Street sign on a gas lamp, Capital One building.  The overall shape of the pin is that of the St. Louis Cathedral in Jaskcon Square located on the French Quarter.

Part of a local series of two Carnival masks, one male and one female, both 3D textured. This pin is the male mask.

Face is mainly white, featuring a curly black mustache. At top is a blue semicircle with a yellow sunrise. On forehead are three blue horizontal patches, similar to eyebrows. Hanging from middle patch is a tuft of blue hair that looks like a wave.

Eyes are the same colors, yellow and black, but different designs. Eye at left resembles a human eye, with a yellow iris and a black pupil. Eye at right is divided vertically, with the left half black and the right half yellow. Above and between the eyes are arcs of silver and gray. Below the eyes are silver lashes. Falling from the eye at right is a teardrop, in the same shade of blue and wavelike shape as the tuft of hair. Nose and lips are white.

At bottom of face is a purple fleur-de-lis, a stylized lily or iris flower, doubling as a goatee. A fleur-de-lis in Italy is a lily (giglio), the most famous of which appears in red on the Florence city crest.

Year (2020) appears horizontally in silver at top of face. Hard Rock Cafe logo is at bottom center of pin with city name in silver.

Back of pin says "Limited Edition 450."

Face is mainly white, featuring closed silver eyes with feminine lashes. Eyebrows and nostrils are silver. Lips are red and white.

Top of head is an intricate design that looks like a red hat with yellow trim. It also resembles the dome of Florence Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), with a yellow cupola at the top. A thin spiral of silver descends from top of dome and wraps around it, ending at top left side of face. At intervals on the spiral are black musical notes. Spiral design resembles the famous 15th century drawing of an "aerial screw," predecessor of the modern helicopter, by Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci.

Year (2020) appears horizontally in silver at center of dome. Hard Rock Cafe logo is at bottom center of pin with city name in silver.

Back of pin says "Limited Edition 450."

Based on the Lil' Coffin show car.  This model was introduced as "The Demon" in 1970 and then "The Prowler", before "The" was dropped after 1973 and lasted until 1983. "Double Demon Delivery" is a retooled casting from 2010-2015.
