More

Norev's first range of 1/43 scale vehicle models, originally made in France, from 1951 to the late 1980s.

The very first models had plastic bodies with tin baseplates, the later ones were all plastic.

Until the early 1970s, the bodies were molded from a locally sourced plastic material called "Rhodialite". It's a cellulose acetate which is prone to warpage over time, not unlike the 1950s American promotional models, which were made from a similar plastic.

But not only the plastic material changed over the decades. There are several generations of wheels as well, the boxes were regularly updated, and sadly the models were ever more simplified towards the end of this era.
