Until the early 1970s, the bodies were molded from a locally sourced plastic material called "Rhodialite". It's a cellulose acetate which is prone to warpage over time, not unlike the 1950s American promotional models, which were made from a similar plastic.

The little 2CV van was one of the longest running models in the range.
First released in 1957, it remained in the lineup until the end of the Norev plastic range in the mid 80s.
Numerous variants were released and the model received various minor alterations over the decades.
