Eisner-award-nominated artist Cary Nord and Eisner-Award-winning colorist Dave Stewart return to Conan to launch a brand-new story arc by Kurt Busiek building up to the adaptation of Robert E. Howard's original Conan yarn, "The Hall of the Dead." Fresh from his triumphs in the City of Thieves with a willing, wanton wench at his side, Conan's out for the good life-drinking, debauchery, and a nighttime looting spree so unrestrained that even the crowned heads of Zamora are displeased. All this attention-getting sets a rogue as wily as Conan on his tail, and if that wasn't enough, the Cimmerian's ways might just place him on the business end of an entire army.

Conan crossed the wrong people, and now he's got the entire Zamorian Army on his tail, led by a rogue who may be even more cunning than Conan. But Conan's not running, and he's not hiding-if they want a fight, he'll give it to them. Yet, even if he can take on an entire army and win, there are worse things in Zamora than swords, and worse sorcerers to unleash them. Will they succeed in destroying the daring Cimmerian . . . or will they just make him mad?

Beginning a stunning two-parter drawn by legendary storyteller Tim Truman (Grimjack, Hawkworld, Jonah Hex)! The Prince and his mysterious Wazir, featured in Conan #0 and the series' framing sequences, share center stage with Conan in a two-tiered story. Having added new lands to his father's empire, the Prince must deal with diplomacy, border wars, and a local champion. The Wazir offers guidance with a legend of when Conan was a hill-chief of the Afghulis, high in the Himeliam mountains. Conan is building the seeds of a kingdom-can he betray a brave man to gain power? And if he can, should the Prince do the same? Imperial skullduggery, high-mountain action, and devious schemes take the spotlight in this gorgeously drawn tale.
