George Roussos (August 20, 1915 – February 19, 2000), also known under the name George Bell, was an American comic book artist best known as one of Jack Kirby's Silver Age inkers, including on landmark early issues of Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four. Over five decades, he created artwork for numerous publishers, including DC Comics and he was a staff colorist for Marvel Comics.

Captain America Joins... The Avengers!, Namor attacks a group of eskimos and throws their idol into the sea. When the ice melts, the figure trapped within turns out to be Captain America, in suspended animation since the end of World War II; The Avengers rescue Cap and return to New York. An alien figure turns our heroes to stone. When Cap and Rick Jones track him down, the alien agrees to restore the Avengers if they agree to help him recover his broken space ship in return; When doing so, the Avengers are attacked by Namor. Hercules unofficially joins the Avengers in "In Our Midst... An Immortal!", Hercules is overcome by a love potion made by the Enchantress, accompanied by Ares; Under her control, he attacks the Avengers; With the Avengers help, he is brought back to his senses, but because he left Olympus, he is exiled on Earth by Zeus. The Avengers decide to house him for the duration in an act of friendship; Also, the Black Widow is captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. while going at attend an Avengers meeting and asked to act as a double-agent behind the Iron Curtain. Hercules and the Black Widow guest star in "The Torment... and the Triumph!", The newspapers write how Black Widow stole secret plans and escaped to Russia with them; Hawkeye is upset and walks into a trap, set by the Mad Thinker; Hawkeye is attacked and captured by Hammerhead, one of his "Triumvirate of Terror"; Goliath and the Wasp go to help but are captured by Piledriver, another member; Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch are captured by Thunderbolt, the last member; The Mad Thinker then carries out his plans to steal all of Tony Stark's inventions. "Suddenly... the Sub-Mariner!", The Scarlet Witch collapses after the battle in the previous issue; Black Widow steals an experimental jet from General Ross; Meanwhile, the Sub-Mariner attacks a submarine destroying underwater wildlife, then decides to attack the base it came from; The Avengers receive a call from Captain America, warning that a dangerous item called the "Cosmic Cube" has been spotted near the base and the Avengers should secure it; Quicksilver stays with the weak Scarlet Witch and the Avengers arrive at the base and battle with Sub-Mariner, where Hercules unwittingly mentions the cube to him; The Sub-Mariner flees, returns with the cube and the battle starts again. Captain America returns to the Avengers in "The Plan and the Power!", Quicksilver contacts the Fantastic Four for info on Diablo, and Hawkeye, the Scarlet Witch, Hercules and himself go to find him; Meanwhile, Goliath awakes and tries to attack Diablo, but the Wasp is held prisoner so he backs down.
