Ulala is the protagonist of Sega's Space Channel 5 series. Since appearing in the 1999 cult-classic, Ulala has remained a prominent character in Sega media and video games as a whole, leading to several promotional material based on the character. She is voiced by Apollo Smile (1999-2014) and Cherami Leigh (2020-present).

Ulala is a space reporter who survived a deadly spaceship "accident" in the year 2489, and was saved by Channel 5 reporter, Jaguar. Ten years later, Ulala becomes the star of her own show, and attempts to put an end to the Morolian Invasion by using her "savvy and funky moves."
