Minialuxe was a French precision plastic molding company based in Oyonnax in the  'PLASTICS VALLEY' of southeast France. They produced a variety of toys, among other vehicles in various scales, beginning in 1953. They were most active in the 1960s and 1970s, when they added the 'Tacots' series of plastic veteran and vintage vehicles in about 1:43 to their range, which bear a striking resemblance of some of the diecast products of Rami and Safir. It didn't pay off, so they went out of business 1978.

However, the Minialuxe brand was resurrected in 2013 by Marc Faujanet, owner of Passion 43rd, a magazine specializing in 1:43 model cars. Mr. Faujanet signed a 20 year license agreement in March 2012 to produce scale models for collectors in diecast metal and plastic in 1:18, 1:43 and 1:66 scales. Minialuxe is based in France, while their products are manufactured in China.  In 2016, the range of 1:66 cars was introduced.  Website is no longer active (2024).
